You need more space in your home, but you don't know where to start and want answers to all sorts of important questions!

I'm here to help, with over 25 years experience in residential and educational architecture. I can help you make the most of your space, and breathe new life into your home.

I've put together answers to some of the most frequently asked questions below, so you can find out what you need to know before getting started on your journey to a beautiful living space.

Need to know how to process works? Head across to the How It Works page and find out exactly how I can help you, and the journey to loving where you live.

As part of the first stage of the work there is a small charge which covers a site visit to discuss feasibility, research into Planning history and any restrictions or surveys required and arranging a measured survey.

Is there a charge for consultations?

Yes. There are a number of contractors that have completed projects for us and we would be happy to pass their details on.

It is sometimes useful to obtain approximate projects costs during the Planning stage with a more detailed breakdown during the Building Regulations determination period.

Can you recommend any builders?

Each project is unique, so fees vary.

We provide a detailed breakdown of the costs for each stage of the work as well as an idea of other consultants who may be required and any application fees.

Each stage is invoiced separately.

How much do you charge?

Architects must be registered with the Architects Registration Board.

This can only happen after completing 7 years of study to gain the qualifications required to provide our clients with the range of skills and knowledge necessary to carry out a design project.

Is appointing an Architect worth it?

We offer a service which provides a computer generated 3D visualisation of your project.

We also offer a virtual reality experience which allows you to see your proposed design – this is particularly useful if you struggle to imagine how a space would look if there are walls in the way!

How do you help to visualise projects?

Whilst I deal with this process every day, I understand that this may be a one-off project and the first time you have dealt with an architect or anyone in the construction industry.

It is my job to make the experience as seamless as possible so I am always open to questions that help you to understand what is going on.
